Consent and Opt-In Checks

Outreach that stays on the right side of the law

What is Consent and Opt-In Checks?

Consent and Opt-In Checks is a compliance layer that verifies a recipient's recorded permission before any commercial electronic message is sent, and technically blocks delivery to numbers without it. luup treats this skill as a precondition for the skills that find and win back customers, because promotional calls and messages require recorded consent in most markets, and every contact is logged together with the permission it relied on.

With the skill off

Permission is checked by hand, or not at all; the penalty risk is reborn with every send.

With the skill on

Outbound calls and messages to numbers without consent are blocked before they start.

How does it work?

  1. 1

    Permission is read

The number's recorded consent and objection entries are checked.

  2. 2

    The queue is filtered

Numbers without permission are removed from the contact queue.

  3. 3

    The send is stamped

Every contact is recorded together with the consent it relied on.

  4. 4

    Objections are applied

An opt-out is enforced immediately and stored permanently.

What does it need?

A skill with a missing precondition is not hidden in the panel — it is shown with the gap. Hiding what is required only produces disappointment during setup.

What we measureNumber of sends without consent — target zero.
  • A consent registry account
  • Company details (legal name, tax number)

What it deliberately does not do

Claiming a result is easy. What follows is not a claim but a set of limits the product enforces mechanically: the skill cannot do these things, because a layer that cannot be switched off stops it.

  • It cannot be switched off. No outbound skill can bypass this layer.
  • It starts no contact with a number that has no consent, even if you ask it to.
  • It never deletes a consent record; opt-outs are kept with an audit trail.

Where it sits on the autonomy ladder

A 0–4 ladder decides how much the assistant may do without asking you, and it is set separately for each channel and each topic. The meaning of each rung is the same across every skill.

Consent and Opt-In Checks comes into play at rung 0 of the ladder.

  1. 0

    Listens only

Writes nothing to customers; it only records.

  2. 1

    Drafts a reply

Writes it but does not send it; the draft waits in the panel.

  3. 2

    Waits for approval

The reply is ready; sending it is your decision.

  4. 3

    Answers on its own

Sends, and stops to call you in when it gets stuck.

  5. 4

    Full authority

    Books, quotes and collects payment.

Wherever the ladder sits, every outgoing message passes the Conversation Rules and the consent check; neither layer can be switched off.

Sık sorulanlar

Calls and messages sent for promotion, campaigns or reminders count as commercial electronic communication and require recorded consent. Every skill that finds or wins back customers produces outbound contact, so running them without a consent layer creates legal exposure.

The skill does not run without one and is shown in the panel with its missing precondition. Registration is an application the business makes in its own name; luup does not open it for you, but the panel walks through the connection steps.

Informational messages about a service the person requested are treated separately from commercial messages. But the moment a campaign sentence is added to a reminder, it becomes a commercial message and consent is required. The skill applies that distinction by message type.
