Calling Customers When They're Due
Brings the customer back exactly when they're due
What is Calling Customers When They're Due?
Calling Customers When They're Due is a repeat-sales method that calculates how often a customer buys a service from their past records and starts contact automatically when the time comes round. luup uses each customer's own historic interval and falls back to the industry's typical interval where there is no history; when a customer declines, their cycle is closed and no further contact is made.
The customer who should be back is forgotten, and by the time they are remembered it is too late.
Every customer's own cycle is calculated and contact begins when it comes due.
How does it work?
- 1
The cycle is learned
The person's historic purchase interval is calculated.
- 2
A date is set
The next likely date of need is predicted.
- 3
A reminder goes
Contact begins on the date, with a consent check first.
- 4
It becomes a booking
If there is interest, the appointment or record opens in the same conversation.
What does it need?
A skill with a missing precondition is not hidden in the panel — it is shown with the gap. Hiding what is required only produces disappointment during setup.
- Customer history
- Consent and Opt-In Checks
What it deliberately does not do
Claiming a result is easy. What follows is not a claim but a set of limits the product enforces mechanically: the skill cannot do these things, because a layer that cannot be switched off stops it.
- It applies no single interval to everyone; the interval is learned per person.
- It never calls someone without consent just to remind them.
- It makes no early call before the interval is up.
Where it sits on the autonomy ladder
A 0–4 ladder decides how much the assistant may do without asking you, and it is set separately for each channel and each topic. The meaning of each rung is the same across every skill.
Calling Customers When They're Due comes into play at rung 2 of the ladder.
- 0
Listens only
Writes nothing to customers; it only records.
- 1
Drafts a reply
Writes it but does not send it; the draft waits in the panel.
- 2
Waits for approval
The reply is ready; sending it is your decision.
- 3
Answers on its own
Sends, and stops to call you in when it gets stuck.
- 4
Full authority
Books, quotes and collects payment.
Wherever the ladder sits, every outgoing message passes the Conversation Rules and the consent check; neither layer can be switched off.

The skill uses the person's own historic intervals; where there is no history it starts from the industry's typical interval. Boiler servicing yearly, hair colour every four to six weeks, dental check-ups every six months — those intervals sit in the industry package and can be changed from the panel.
Any industry where the service repeats: beauty, healthcare, automotive, appliance repair, fitness and wholesale supply. Where sales are one-off the skill produces fewer results.
On a negative answer, that customer's cycle is closed and no further contact is made. The opt-out is stored permanently.
