Negotiation and Discount Limits

Discounts inside your rules, never below your floor

What is Negotiation and Discount Limits?

Negotiation and Discount Limits is a pricing-authority method that automatically determines the discounts and extra terms available in a sales conversation, within the floor price and rules the business has defined. luup checks every offer the assistant produces against the floor-price rule before it is sent; a sentence that breaks the rule is blocked, and every concession granted is logged with its reason.

With the skill off

Discount authority depends on the individual; who gave away what is discovered afterwards.

With the skill on

Discounts are given inside the floor price and rule limits, and every concession is recorded.

How does it work?

  1. 1

    A floor is set

The price that may never be undercut is defined per product or service.

  2. 2

    Authority is granted

How much discount is available in which situation becomes a rule.

  3. 3

    It applies in conversation

The assistant only produces offers inside the rules.

  4. 4

    It is recorded

Every concession is logged together with its reason.

What does it need?

A skill with a missing precondition is not hidden in the panel — it is shown with the gap. Hiding what is required only produces disappointment during setup.

What we measureAverage discount granted, and the win rate on work.
  • A price list
  • A defined floor price

What it deliberately does not do

Claiming a result is easy. What follows is not a claim but a set of limits the product enforces mechanically: the skill cannot do these things, because a layer that cannot be switched off stops it.

  • It never goes under your floor, and never states or implies a price below it.
  • It gives no discount for nothing — every reduction is tied to a condition.
  • It does not resolve a case that needs to break the rule; it asks you.

Where it sits on the autonomy ladder

A 0–4 ladder decides how much the assistant may do without asking you, and it is set separately for each channel and each topic. The meaning of each rung is the same across every skill.

Negotiation and Discount Limits comes into play at rung 4 of the ladder.

  1. 0

    Listens only

Writes nothing to customers; it only records.

  2. 1

    Drafts a reply

Writes it but does not send it; the draft waits in the panel.

  3. 2

    Waits for approval

The reply is ready; sending it is your decision.

  4. 3

    Answers on its own

Sends, and stops to call you in when it gets stuck.

  5. 4

    Full authority

    Books, quotes and collects payment.

Wherever the ladder sits, every outgoing message passes the Conversation Rules and the consent check; neither layer can be switched off.

Sık sorulanlar

No. The floor price lives in the rule layer, and every offer the assistant produces is checked against it before sending; a sentence that breaks it is blocked. This is the same mechanism as the conversation rules.

Yes. Every concession is recorded with the conversation it happened in and the reason given. The Price Analysis skill uses those records to work out which discount level actually converts.

Negotiation and Discount Limits is in beta. It works safely when floor price and rules are defined properly; where rules are missing, the skill does not use discount authority at all.
